died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2003, at Tri-County Hospital in Wadena.

She was born April 22, 1929, to Isaac and Alma (Lindula) Bay in Paddock Township, Ottertail County, Minn. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith May 19, 1929. She attended Hay Creek School, was confirmed in the apostolic Lutheran Church and worked on the family farm during World War II. She married Jalmer W. Kuha Sept. 17, 1949, and they made their home in Sebeka, where they operated Kuha Lumber Sales. She was an active member of the Menahga Apostolic Lutheran Church and Sebeka Senior Citizens. She also served as an RSVP volunteer and as an eletion judge for the city of Sebeka for more than 30 years.

She is survived by one son, Steve (Marlys) of Walker; three grandsons, Matt (Lisa), Dustin and Joshua; one stepdaughter, Jeanette (Dick) Richter of Little Falls; two stepsons, Wilfred (Ella) of Minneapolis and Robert (Fran) of Blaine; two sisters, Hilda DeLormier of Howell, Mich. and Bertha Aho of Sebeka; two brothers, Edwin Bay of Augusta, Mic,h. and Lester (Bernice) Bay of New York Mills; many step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and special friend Howie Haataja, who shared her love of music.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jalmer; two brothers, Andrew and Bill; and two sisters, Lillian and Helen.

Funeral services were held Oct. 25 at the Menahga Apostolic Lutheran Church with the Rev. Donald Salo officiating. Interment was at Haycreek Cemetery.

Cardini-Behrens Funeral Home of Menahga handled arrangements.
