Mr. Campbell died on Saturday morning in a Lynchburg nursing home after a long illness.
Born in Louisa County, he was a son of the late George Stratton and Minnie Coffey Campbell.
Survivors include his stepmother, Mrs. Florrie G. Campbell of Kingston, N. Y.; two sister, Mrs. Tiny G. Loftis and Mrs. Christie C. Patterson, both of Lynchburg; two half-sisters, Mrs. Hudson (Robbie) Roseberry of Richmond and Mrs. Robert (Janice) Gaines of Kingston, N. Y.; and two aunts and a number of nieces and nephews.
Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
Funeral service were held at 2 p.m. yesterday at the Whitten Funeral Home in Lynchburg, and burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery, also in Lynchburg.
