Fredrica Weicht was born in Emmendingen, Baden, Germany, June 13, 1817, and came to New York in 1832 with her father, Dr. T. F. Weicht, and for about three years lived in Newark, N. J., then moving to Wooster, Ohio.
In 1839 she was married to C. J. Freygang and resided in Uniontown, Stark county, Ohio, until 1845, when they moved to Steuben county. Her husband died August 7, 1868, and on October 20, 1869, she was married to James Barr, who died April 16, 1881.
Six children survive her-Harmon, Edward and Julius Freygang, Mrs. Geo. E. Young, Mrs. H. P. Hathaway and Mrs. Joseph W. Burch. All were present at the funeral except Julius, who lives at Fairhaven, Wash. The funeral took place at the M. E. church on last Saturday, Rev. J. A. Beatty officiating.
Mrs. Barr was a woman loved by all, one who found her highest happiness in doing good to others and in making others happy.
