Mary Josephine Hardy Mason, 93, died Tuesday, February 01, 2011 at St. Dominic Jackson Memorial Hospital. Visitation will be today from 5 ? 7 pm at Breeland Funeral Home in Canton. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday from the funeral home chapel with burial in Jessamine Cemetery.
Mrs. Mason was born May 12, 1917 in Flora; she is the daughter of John C. and Lula Weaver Hardy. She graduated from Flora High School in 1935.
She was preceded in death by: sons, Henry Lee Mason, Jr. and Larry Willard Mason; sisters, Aberteen, Rosa and Dorothy; brothers, Fred, Alfred, Clifton, Thomas, Joe, and William.
Survivors include: husband of 74 years, Henry Lee Mason, Sr.; son, Clifton Mason; 10 grandchildren including Clifton Mason, Jr. who was her special caregiver; 21 great-grandchildren; a number of great-great-grandchildren; brother, Henry Hardy and his wife Ada; and sister-in-law, Willie Mae Hardy
