ASPERMONT -- Billie Murel Abbott, 83, went to be with her Lord Saturday morning at a Jayton nursing center. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Monday, October 7, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church in Aspermont, officiated by Rev. Larry Burton, with burial to follow in the Aspermont Cemetery under the care and direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Aspermont.
Billie Murel was born in Vera, TX, November 2, 1929, to Warren Frazier and Pearl Webb Frazier. Billie worked as a beautician for many years and was a member of First Baptist Church in Aspermont. Billie married Thomas Abbott on April 7, 1949. He preceded her in death on September 14,1997.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Abbott and wife Patti, and Tommy Abbott and wife Daina; Three sisters, Lula Faye Hinze, Eunice Chambliss, and Afton Ponder; Seven grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
