She was born July 8, 1919, the daughter of Egbert and Isabell (Macy) Hall in Albany, SD. She grew up on the family farm and attended country school. She quit school to take care of her mother, who had cancer, until she died.
She married Francis Werner in 1937 and they lived in Montana, California, North Dakota, Wisconsin and Minnesota. They enjoyed adventure and hard work. Her husband died Jul 1, 1981.
She enjoyed cooking, making crafts, word search, flower gardening and the Minnesota Twins.
Survivors include one son, Louis (Mary) Werner of Montrose; one daughter, Francis (Dave) Basta of Polson, MT; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Edna Peschong of Eden Prairie.
