Lane Dunn, 78, died Sunday, May 2, 2004, at Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville following an illness. He was born to Ezra and Anne Dunn on March 10, 1926, in Bee County. He was a rancher for most of his life and enjoyed living in the country.
Survivors include his wife, Mozelle Dunn of Beeville; two sons, Carey (Rosie) Dunn of Apple Valley, Calif., and Mike Dunn of Beeville; two daughters, Michelle (Steve) Willis of Beeville and Shannon (Carl) Anderson of Berthoud, Colo.; a brother, Charles Dunn of The Colony; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday (today) from 5 to 8 p.m. at Cadiz Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Cadiz Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Lebanon Cemetery in Cadiz.
Pallbearers will be Mario Canales, Alex Kibler, Bruce Wooley, Marty Brophy, Mike Huser, Jimmy Blankenship, Larry Lee and Kenneth Freasier. Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Chestnutt, Beeville VFW members and the deacons of Cadiz Baptist Church.
