Benjamin Franklin "Frank"McDavid was born Nov. 5,1853 a son of Daniel and Elizabeth (Sturgill) McDavid. He married Louisa Ann "Lou Ann" Pennington on Nov. 11,1875 at the home of Jim Pennington. They were the parents of nine children;Nannie Lee,George E.,Mary E.,Mary Elizabeth "Mollie",Harry Burke,Coney,Lou Ann, John and Benjamin Franklin "Little Frank". George E. was born Apr. 17,1879 and died Apr. 27,1878. John born and died on June 29,1892.
After Lou Ann died on March 30,1896,Frank remarried 1898 to Mary Leoda "Oda" Hunter. She died May 1900 leaving Frank with two more children;James R. b. 1899 and Martha Leoda b. 1900. So he was a widow in the 1900 census.
He married a 3rd time on Jan. 29,1903 to Martha Cox. They had two children:Parola Gertrude "Dollie" 1903 and Edna Leighton 1907. Martha died in 1908 leaving Frank a widow again by the 1910 census.
In the 1920 several of his children were still living at home:Coney "Cona" 31,Frank Jr. 25,James F. 20,Martha 19,Dollie 16 & Edna 12. James'wife Marion (Miller) 22 was also living with them.
After Lou Ann died on March 30,1896,Frank remarried 1898 to Mary Leoda "Oda" Hunter. She died May 1900 leaving Frank with two more children;James R. b. 1899 and Martha Leoda b. 1900. So he was a widow in the 1900 census.
