George Cole died at his home on North Sixth street Monday after an illness of nearly a year. He leaves a wife and two children. Funeral services will be held today. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, October 14, 1908)

Passed Away at the Home of His Parents Monday Morning
Died of Abcess of the Lungs

George Cole, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Cole, died at the home of his parents in this city Monday morning of abcess of the lungs. The funeral services was held at the home at 2:30 this afternoon. Interment was made in the West Side Cemetery.

George Chester Cole was born at Hampton March 25, 1881. He attended the high school at Clear Lake. September 9, 1901 he was united in marriage at Clear Lake. In March, 1902 they moved to Estherville. Two years later they went to Faulkton, South Dakota. Mr. Cole was taken sick a year ago last June. He came back to Estherville August 6 and gradually grew worse until death came.

Geo. Cole was a fine young man. His death is mourned by his wife and two children, Leda and Jessie, his parents and two sisters, Etta Cole and Mrs. Jesse Griffith of Pueblo, Colorado, besides other relatives and friends.
