Services for Wilbur Lenoy Stallings, 76, of Abernathy, Texas, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike O'Donnell officiating. Burial will follow in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Abernathy, Texas.

Mr. Stallings died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, in Lubbock, Texas. He was born Aug. 26, 1934, in Levelland, Texas, to Harold Hamilton and Ada (Beaty) Stallings, and the family moved to Abernathy in 1947. He served in the US Army 1957 to 1959. He married Tommye Ruth Brewster on June 21, 1959, in Abernathy. He was employed in the banking business and retired in 1999 from Wells Fargo in Lubbock. He was a member of the Abernathy First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Bob Gates.

He is survived by his wife, Tommye Ruth Stallings of Abernathy, TX; three children, Darrick and Tami Stallings of Artesia, NM, Bryan Stallings of Irving, TX, and Donna Stallings of Lubbock, TX; two grandchildren, Chelsea Stallings of Albuquerque, NM, and Landon Stallings of Artesia, NM; and three siblings, Nada Gates of Midland, TX, Geneve and Harris Scott of Abernathy, TX, and Charlie Stallings of Lubbock, TX.
