"Robert had a farm background centered in the Dansville-Williamston area, Ingham, MI. He was a teacher in the public schools a number of years before his marriage. Robert was later employed by General Motors in their Lansing, Ingham, MI office.

"Later he was transferred by General Motors to Royal Oak in Oakland Co., MI, where he continued in the accounting division, holding a very responsible position, being sent at times to other divisions to instruct others in correct accounting principles. He was a Certified Public Accountant and retired in 1975."
