Survivors include a son, Arnold Butler Jr. of Akron, Ohio; three daughters, Audrey Butler of Rutland, Debbie Paulsen and Diane Henchel of Kennesaw, GA; four brothers, James Howland of Rutland, Donald Howland of Rochester, Minn., Jerry Howland of Melrose, Mass., and Bud Howland of Thetford Center; a sister, Isabelle Gilman of Queensbury, NY; and seven grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Rutland. Officiating will be the Rev. Francis Prive, pastor. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery in Castleton.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mount St. Joseph Academy Development Fund, 127 Convent Ave., Rutland, VT 05701; or to Vermont Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired, 10 Burnham Ave., Rutland, VT 05701. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland.
