Timothy Scott Plumlee was born September 18, 1966, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Donald Wayne and Donna Lee (Steen) Plumlee. He passed from this life on February 24, 2011, at the young age of 44 at his home in Yukon, Oklahoma. Scott grew up in Tuttle, Oklahoma, and graduated from Tuttle High School in 1984, later attending Rose State College and Oklahoma City Community College.

Scott then joined the United States Air Force in 1986, where he willingly and honorably served his country for ten years. While in the Air Force, Scott also continued his education through the Community College of the Air Force while striving for a degree in Computer Science and Business Management. He received his basic training at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Texas, after which he received technical training to be an Aircraft Ground Equipment (AGE) Repairman at Chanute AFB, Rantoul, Illinois.

He then served a tour at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan, only returning stateside to Keesler AFB, Biloxi, Mississippi, long enough to cross-train to become a Computer Systems Operations Specialist. After the tour in Japan, Scott had a stateside assignment at Altus AFB, Altus, OK. After this assignment, he then served at Osan Air Base, South Korea. His next assignment was stateside at Tinker AFB, assigned to the 3rd Combat Communications Group (3rd Herd), Midwest City, OK. He also served 02 Aug 1990 to 28 Nov 1996 in support of Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm.

Scott received numerous awards, honors, ribbons, and medals while serving his country. Among those were: Air Force Achievement Medal with 1 device, Air Force Longevity Service Award with 1 device, Air Force Training Ribbon, Air Force Overseas Short Tour Ribbon, Air Force Overseas Long Tour Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, NCO Professional Military Education Ribbon, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with 2 devices, Air Force Good Conduct Medal with 1 device.

Shortly after resigning from the United States Air Force with an honorable discharge, Scott gained employment with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) contractors: OAO Corporation, Lockheed-Martin Information Technology, Titan Corporation, and most recently was employed by the FAA contractor, L-3 Communications, as a Computer Specialist supporting the FAA.

Scott was a member of Snow Hill Baptist Church at Tuttle, always maintaining a deep faith for his Lord and Savior. He had a unique way of quickly developing friendships wherever his life's journey took him. Throughout his life's challenges, he always maintained a positive attitude, and by so doing, he encouraged that in others as well. One of Scott's frequent responses when a person expressed doubt, or questioned their own ability to do something was, "O ye of little faith", which has been memorialized on the top of his monument. Scott had a unique sense of humor that only those who knew him well could deeply appreciate.

Scott loved sports of all types, but he especially enjoyed football and basketball. He was an avid OU college football fan and an OKC Thunder, Boston Celtics, L.A. Lakers, and San Antonio Spurs NBA basketball fan. Scott also loved spending time with his family. He was a wonderful son, a special brother, and a loving father. He will be greatly missed by his family and all of those who knew him.

Scott is survived by his companion and special friend, Jennifer Easterling of the home, his mother, Donna Lee (Steen) Plumlee of Tuttle, his brother, Christopher S. Plumlee and wife, Monica, of Tuttle, a daughter, Angilena Nichole Willis of Krebs, OK, two nephews, Jeremiah "Jeremy" Wayne Plumlee of Bethany, OK, and Nicholas Lee Plumlee, who Scott was never able to meet here on earth as Nicholas was born after his death; uncles and aunts, Milton Dennis Steen and wife, Linda, of Edmond, OK, Danny Ray Steen and wife, Carolyn Sue "Susie", of Blanchard, OK, Hubert Lee Plumlee and wife, Mary, of Oklahoma City, OK, Billy Paul Plumlee and wife, Phyllis Joy, of Tuttle, Calvin Vernon Plumlee and wife, Leatrice Joy, of Tuttle, Rephord Joe Plumlee of Tuttle, Helen Louise (Plumlee) Wood and husband, Floyd, of Tuttle, as well as numerous cousins, other extended family members, colleagues, and countless friends.
