Josepha (aka Josephine) immigrated to the US with parents and brothers, Anton (aka Anthony) and Johann (aka John) thru port of New York City--with a destination of Syracuse, NY--on 15 May 1894 aboard the steamship ALLER out of Bremen, Germany on ticket #0975.

Josephine's last name in brother John's obit, in 1951, and the SSDI was Golembiewski.

Her last name in brother Anthony's obit, in 1966, was spelled Golum.

1930 Census: Married to Robert Golembiewski (Spelled Golembowsky on census) Daughter and son-in-law, Mary M. and Edward J. Hogan are living with them.

1920 Census: Widowed--last name is Jinks or Spinks. She and daughter Mary are living with sister Gertrude (Stier) Beck at 107 Neutral Ct., Syracuse. Gertrude is also widowed.

Mrs. Josephine Golembiewski

Mrs. Josephine Golembiewski, 98, formerly
of 320 Richfield Blvd., Mattydale,
died Friday at a local nursing home after
a long illness.
A native of Germany, she had lived in
the Syracuse area for 87 years. She was a
communicant of Assumption Church and a
member of its Altar and Rosary Society.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mary
Hogan; a granddaughter, Mrs, Maryann
Barthel of North Syracuse; two greatgrandchildren
and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 8:15 a.m. Monday at
Keegan-Osbelt-Knight Funeral Home and
8:45 a.m. in Assumption Church. Burial
will be in Assumption Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
