PITTSTON - Carol T. Aikey passed away Feb. 24, 2011, after a brief courageous battle with cancer. She was born Feb. 26, 1938, in Norwich, Conn. She was the daughter of Lloyd and Jennifer Perkins
She was a member of the Augusta First Church of the Nazarene.

She is predeceased by her parents; and late husband Joseph Aikey; and brother Lloyd "Sonny" Perkins. She is survived by and will be deeply missed by her family including her companion of six years, Larry Mason; and a special friend, Rachel Drew; her daughters, Jill Warner and husband Gene of Pittston, and Linda Goss of Connecticut; and son Daniel Taylor of Connecticut; sisters Susan Fortier of Connecticut, and Diane Clark of New Hampshire; brothers Matt Perkins of Randolph, Jerry Perkins of Randolph, George Perkins and wife Sherri of Connecticut, Sam Perkins and his wife, Judy, of Georgia; grandchildren Jaime, Billy, Crystal, Sherri Melissa, Michael and Tina; and several great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Committal services will be at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta. (Kennebec Journal 2/26/2011)
