Frank B. Helregel, 101, of West Liberty, died Saturday, May 11, 1991 at 1:35 p.m. at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning, May 14, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ste. Marie. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton and 1 hour before Mass, Tuesday, at the church. Wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
Mr. Helregel was born Aug. 2, 1889 in Ste. Marie Township, the son of Charles and Margaret (Burgund) Helregel. He married Sophia Hoffman on May 3, 1916 in Ste. Marie, she preceded him in death Jan. 6, 1991.
Mr. Helregel was a retired farmer and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ste. Marie.
Mr. Helregel is survived by four sons, Albert of Loda, Walter of Pesotum, Lawrence and Dick, both of West Liberty; four daughters, Mrs. Laurence (Clorene) Ochs of Ste. Marie, Mrs. Vincent (Louise) Keller of West Liberty, Mrs. Delmar (Theresa) Radke of Springfield, and Mrs. Daniel (Mary Ann) Kuenstler of Claremont; three sisters, Agnes Strutner of West Liberty, Monica Meers and Clara White, both of Decatur; 32 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 7great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Helregel was preceded in death by his wife, five brothers, two sisters, and one grandson.
