EIGHT INJURED IN COLLISION ON TRIP TO FAIR

L.H. Addington, 40, Associate Professor of animal husbandry and associate daily husbandman at New Mexico A&M College, was killed this morning in a head on collision with a car driven by a Tulsa Oklahoma man six-tenths of a mile north of Salem just north of Hatch.

His skull was fractured and he died en-route to the hospital here.

Funeral Friday:

Rosary services will be held at the Chapel of Nelson's Funeral Home at 7:30 p.m. Services will be held at St Genevieve's Catholic Church. Father Raynor is in charge of both services.

Mr. Addington is survived by his wife, a son by a former marriage, two step sons, and his parents who live in Portales.

He graduated from New Mexico A&M in 1925, received his Masters Degree at Michigan State College in 1927, and joined the staff at A&M shortly afterward. He has been here since that time.

On May 30, 1940, Mr. Addington married Mrs. Elizabeth Davis McCullough who had two sons. Thomas and David.
