Joseph W. Blanchard
NAMPA—Services for Joseph William Blanchard, 91, of 516 Sixth Avenue South, Nampa, who died Tuesday at a Nampa home, will be conducted at 4 p.m. Friday at the Alsip Funeral Chapel with Rev. J. Sydney Carnes, pastor of the Nampa First Christian Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Kohlerlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Blanchard was born June 30, 1877, at Larwill, Ind., and moved as a child with his family to Nebraska, and was reared there. He was married to Loretta Jane Bogle on Dec. 23 1900, at Holbrook, Neb. They resided there until 1918, when they came to Nampa, where they lived from that time. His wife preceded him in death on July 8, 1958.
He is survived by two sons, C. Lester Blanchard, Nampa, and Fred Blanchard, Boise; two daughters, Mrs. Lois Gregory, Marsing, and Mrs. Mae Zabel, Nampa; two brothers, Dr. L. F. Blanchard, Fort Collins, Colo., and C. F. Blanchard, Omaha, Neb.; a sister, Mrs. Jennie Snyder, Bandon, Ore. , five grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
