GEORGE H. HALL
George Henry Hall, 78, native of West Rutland who had resided in Bennington for many years, died Sunday night at Sourdiffe Nursing Home. He had lived at 162 Imperial Ave.
A son of Asa and Delia (Gates) Hall, he had received his schooling in Rutland, but came to Bennington when a young man. He married the former Grace Dwyer in Bennington in 1911 and they have always lived here. He was employed a the old Cooper Needle shop for 45 years, retiring several years ago.
He leaves his wife; a son Elmer A.C. Hall of Bennington; a brother, Harrison Hall of the Vermont Soldiers' Home; a sister, Mrs. Fred (Nellie) Tredo of Springfield, Mass.; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A son Robert died in infancy.
Mr. Hall was a member of the Second Congregational Church.
The funeral will be at 2 pm Wednesday at Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home with the Rev. H. Glenn Payne officiating. Burial will be in the Village Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home tonight and tomorrow from 7 to 9 pm.
