Pembroke - Elizabeth Bacon Geyer died Tuesday at her home after a long illness. The native of Bryan County was a retired nurse. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pembroke, where she served as organist for 40 years. She was a member of the Pembroke Garden Club and the Lingerfelt Circle.
She is survived by a son, Lloyd M. "Butch" Geyer, Lilburn; three brothers, Thomas H. Bacon Sr., Pembroke, Layton P. Bacon, Pearson, Fla., and Albert S. Bacon Jr., Statesboro; a sister, Catherine B. Brown, Pembroke; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11, at North Side Cemetery in Pembroke with the Rev. Dean Burris officiating.
Pallbearers will be Thomas H. Bacon Jr., Kurt C. Bacon, Albert S. Bacon III, Gregory R. Bacon, Glenn Sanders and Julius Boles.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Pembroke in lieu of flowers.
