MRS. MARY A. BROOKS DAVID

     NAMPA--Mrs. Mary A. Brooks David, 88, died Friday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Pearl Saddoris, 924 Ninth avenue south, following a long illness.      She was born April 22, 1850, and came to Idaho with her husband, Andrew J. Brooks in March, 1906. They homesteaded in Deer Flat community in 1910 on what is now known as the David and Howe ranches. Mr. Brooks died in 1911.

     In January, 1914, Mrs. Brooks was married to V. T. David.

     Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Saddoris, Mrs. Daisy Howe, of Nampa, and Mrs. Myrtle Shumate of Nevada, Mo.; one son, W. S. David of Nampa; four brothers, Dr. Isaac Hartford of Alberta, Can., Dr. Wash Hartford and Andrew and Scott Hartford, all living in the east; one sister, Mrs. Grace of Los Angeles; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

     The body is at Robinson's funeral home. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 at the Robinson chapel, with the Rev. Lester Jones of the Christian church officiating. Burial will be in Kohlerlawn cemetery.

     Mrs. David was a member of the Christian church and of the Woman's Relief Corps.
