Services are pending at McBratney-Alden Chapel for Edward C. French, 72, 2700 Lemp Street, who farmed in the Hagerman Valley before moving to Boise in 1943.
Mr. French died Saturday morning at a local hospital following a long illness.
He was born in Indiana Jan. 12, 1891, and received his schooling in that state. He moved to Castleford in 1923 and to Boise in 1943. He was employed at Boise Hills Village for 11 years.
He married in 1907 in Indiana to Rita Carpenter, who died in 1952. In March, 1954 he married Martha Moritz, who survives him.
Other survivors include: Four sons, Raymond, La Puente, Calif., Hershal, Page, Ariz., Earl, Payette, and Wilford, Boise; two daughters, Mrs. William Hurst, Nampa, and Mrs. John Hulet, Pocatello; four brothers, Oscar, Fruitland; John, Sonoma, Calif.; Walter, Payette, and Ira, Fairbury, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Lillian Sutton, Frankfort, Ind.; 16 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
