Richard Gene Curtsinger, 72, Harrodsburg, husband of Beverly Devine Curtsinger, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011 at The James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital. Born Feb. 23, 1938 in Harrodsburg, he was the son of the late Cleo and Grace Farney Curtsinger. He was a retired maintenance supervisor at Corning Glass and a member and elder of Berea Christian Church, Harrodsburg.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter: Shea (Clint) Harmon; two sons: Shawn (Crystal) Curtsinger and Mark (Brandy) Curtsinger and four grandchildren: Amanda, Morgan and Ethan Curtsinger and Avery Harmon, of Harrodsburg.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Feb. 20 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel with John Westerfield and Harley Humfleet officiating. Burial was in Berea Christian Church Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers were: Tommy Reynolds, Ronnie Allen, Tom Nichols, Donnie Lawson, Floyd Shirley and Dennis Holiday. Honorary bearers were: Ben Black, Donnie Tatum and Carlos Lester.
