Lola Nellie Norris was born July 31, 1922 in Witt Springs, Arkansas to Henry and Bernetta Jane (Shockey) Arms. She passed from this life February 23, 2011 in Willits, California at the age of 88. Lola married Jessie "Jake" Norris on December 23, 1940 in Avery, Texas. Together they raised a son and were married for 55 years before his passing in 1996. Nellie was of the Church of Christ faith and was active in her local senior center. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, gardening, sewing, camping, & fishing. Mostly, she loved spending time with her family and friends. Lola was preceded in death by her husband: Jessie "Jake" Norris; parents: Henry & Bernetta Arms; brothers: Curtis Tabor, James Arms; Lelon Arms, & William Hubert Arms; and a sister: Lillie Arms Deen. She is survived by her son: William E. Norris & wife Corazon of Burkburnett, Texas; grandchildren: Thomas Norris & wife Joyce, Lisa Henry & husband Donny, William Norris II & wife Lee Ann, Annette Gonzales & husband Mike all of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Alaina Jane Norris of Burkburnett, Texas; great-grandchildren: David, Vanessa, Kimberly, Kevin, Breann, Crystal, Raymond, Buddy, William III, Jessy, Samantha, Adrianna, & Jimmy; twelve great-great grandchildren; brothers: Albert Arms of Red Bluff, California and Lawrence Arms & wife Lillie Mae of Hopland, California; sisters: Gladis Arms Shannon & husband Otha Eugene of Willits, California; as well as numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, & friends.
