Funeral services for A. T. (Tilman) Lowe, aged 89 years, were conducted at the Rutledge Presbyterian church Friday by Rev. L. M. Ellis. Interment in the church cemetery.
Mr. Lowe, who was during the Civil war a Confederate soldier, died at the soldiers' home in Nashville. He belonged to one of the pioneer families of Grainger county, where he was born, and where, for the most part, he spent his life, He was well known, highly respected and had many friends who will regret to learn of his passing.
He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Rebecca Tate, of California."
