At his request, no services will be held at this time for Walter Davis King, 92, of North Bend. Inurnment will be at the Dora Cemetery. A memorial graveside service will be held at a later date.

He was born Sept. 3, 1911, in Portland. He died Jan. 10, 2004, in North Bend.

On May 9, 1936, he married Selma Schukar in White Salmon, Wash. They raised a family of five children. He spent most of his life working as a millwright and sawyer in various gyppo sawmills in Oregon. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, traveling and most of all spending time with his family and friends. He built three homes for his family, three homes for his mother and remodeled various houses as his family grew in number.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Selma; daughter, Evelyn Alford and Lew Ball of North Bend; sons and daughters-in-law, Everall "Punk" and Pat King of Coquille and Vance and Joanne King of Coquille; son, Glenn King of Sacramento, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sister and husband, Bea and George Moisio of Oakridge; sister, Ruth Doty of Tillamook; brother, Chester Ralstin and Mary Farley of Brookings; brothers-in-law, Clarence Schukar of Sheridan and Milton and wife, Pauline Schukar of Willamina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
