Nathan Bennett was born in 1752, in Mansfield Four Corners, Mansfield, Tolland County, Connecticut. He was the son of William Bennett and Mary (1721 CT - abt. 1758 New London Co, CT). He married Violette Polly about 1781. They were the parents of eleven children. Nathan married 2nd to Lucretia Burch. They had one son, Vernon Adelbert Bennett. . He registered for military service in 1844. He died on 17 August 1845, in Greene, Greene Twp, Chenango County, New York, at the age of 93, and was buried in Greene, Greene Twp, Chenango County, New York.
