Lois Brettman, Jr. and wife have been visited by the angel of death again this time taking their son, Elmer Sunday morning from them. He had not been feeling well the day before at his sister's funeral and was able to be out Saturday night, nose bleeding set in and he died at 7:30 am. Sunday.

Elmer Edward John Brettman was born at Bensenville, Ill., March 29, 1900, and died June 16, at 7:30 a.m., aged 7 yrs., 2 mos., 15 days. Funeral services were held from his late home, Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock, from there to Friedens church, where a large crowd assembled to mourn with the distracted father and mother, who have now buried their fourth child, and have the sympathy of all their friends and relatives. Interment at Friedens cemetery. Walter Olhaber, Edwin Broeker, Geo. Boldebuck, and Willie Franzen acted as pall bearers.
