Mr. Coltrin was born in Medford, Oregon on February 15, 1913 and died in a Bakersfield hospital Tuesday.
He came to Taft in 1917 and attended Taft Schools, including Taft College. Mr. Coltrin worked for 42 years as an oil worker; he worked for G.P., which is now Mobil Oil. He was a member of the Taft Midway Lodge #426, F.&A.M. and was a Past Master of that lodge. Mr. Coltrin attended Peace Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, Saimi Coltrin, his daughters, his grandson, and his brother.
Friends may call at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home tonight until 8:30 p.m. to pay their respects.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart fund or the Peace Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
