Our loving mother, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Rhea Allen Shea, passed away on February 27, 2011.

She was born June 6, 1929 in Preston, Idaho to A.P. and Lucy Kofoed Allen. Married Harrington A. "Hank" Shea on June 27, 1947 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Rhea loved her family, friends, music, butterflies, and everything beautiful in this world. She also loved to shop, travel, spend time with her family and friends and played the piano and organ for her LDS ward for over fifty years, as well as playing for many special occasions. She enjoyed reading and excelled in numerous homemaking arts.

Survived by her husband, Hank; daughters: Christine (Bill) Slach, Wendy (Kris) Malloy, Claudia (Tim) Jones, Linda (Scott) Seegmiller; son, Severn R. Shea; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by son, Steven Allen Shea; parents; and seven siblings.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 4, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. in the Kearns East Stake Center, 4731 South 4300 West. Viewings will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road (1700 West), and Friday at the church from 11:00-11:45 a.m.
Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
