"Mr. Harry Stanford Parks, 67, formerly of Tangier, VA, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2011.

Born on September 14, 1943 on Tangier Island, he was a son of the late Warner A. Parks and Estha Lee Crockett Parks. He was a waterman, and had attended Swain Memorial United Methodist Church.

Survivors include three sisters, Winnie Parks Higgins and her husband John of Sykesville, MD, Bertha Parks Smith of Crisfield, MD, and Erlene Parks Taylor and her husband William of Tasley, VA; and many nieces, nephews, and their families. Other than his parents, he was predeceased by a sister and six brothers.

A memorial service will be held at a later date from the Swain Memorial United Methodist Church, with urn interment in the Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Swain Memorial United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 199, Tangier, VA 23440.
