John C. Willey, 67 years, 9 months, and 5 days old, of Jacksonburg,died at the Wetzel County Hospital, Thursday, February 4, 1943, after a few days illness.
He was born in Wetzel County, April 29, 1875, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Absolum Willey, and had resided in the vicinity of his birth, all his life. He was a farmer. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Funeral services were conducted at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Loma Dodd, of Coburn, W.Va., on Sunday, February 7, 1943, and interment in Sheep Run Cemetery, was under the direction, of the Palmer Funeral Home, of Pine Grove.
His widow, Rosie Bell Willey, and the following sons and daughters survive: James Willey, of East Liverpool, Ohio; Mrs. Loma Dodd, of Coburn; Mrs. Joseph Lombardi, of Wheeling; and Mrs. Claud Nixon, of Jacksonburg; one brother, Clay Willey, of New Martinsville; four sisters, Mrs. Jerry King, Mrs. William Gump, Mrs. Francis Williams, and Mrs. Ross Hayhurst, of Jacksonburg, also survive.
