TAKEN TO BUSHNELL, ILL
Death Claimed Well Known Gentle-
man in His LaSalle Avenue Home
Early Sunday Morning.
Accompanied by members of his
family, the body of Mr. David N. Wis-
herd, who died in his residence in La
Salle avenue, early Sunday morning
was taken to Bushnell, Ill., yester-
day afternoon and interment will be
made at that place tomorrow after-
noon.
Mr. Wisherd, who came to Hampton
from Illinois, about ten months ago,
had arranged to engage in the oyster
and fish business here. He was sixty-
three years old and a man of consid-
erable prominence in the north. He
is survived by his widow and two
sons.
Funeral services were held from the
residence at three o'clock yesterday af-
ternoon, being in charge of Rev. J.
T. T. Handley, of the Norfolk Church
of Christ. Mr. Wisherd belonged to
the Hampton Church of Christ and
the members of the official board,
Messrs. R. R. Tennis, R. I. Tennis,
F. L. Tennis, J. B. Tennis, J. Brachn
and H. W. Stanton, acted as the pall-
bearers and escorted the body to the
Chesapeake and Ohio station.
