Hon. A. B. French is a Democrat and Representative from the Nineteenth District. He was born in Michigan forty-five years ago and came to Minnesota in 1855, is married, and has resided in Le Sueur County for thirty-nine years. His post-office is St. Peter, and for the past twenty-three years he has always held some township office, principally that of Justice of the Peace. In 1894 he was elected to the Legislature, and, in the session of 1895, made a record fore careful and prudent attention to his duties as a member of that body.

The French family lived in Kasota, Minnesota and a frequented short cut from Highway 99 to Highway 22 is called French Hill Road, named after the French family. Their farm was located at the top of French Hill Rd. A continuing tribute to a family that contributed so much to this community.
