The funeral of Bruce Arnold Allbritton, 5-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Allbritton, of Clarks, who died yesterday of lockjaw in a Monroe hospital, was held at the family home, that town, this afternoon. The pastor of Clarks Baptist Church officiated and burial was in a nearby cemetery.

The death of the little fellow, the only child of his parents, well known and pioneer citizens of their town, caused much regret in the little village, due to attending circumstances and the unexpectedness of the lad's passing.

The boy, who had but recently recovered from an automobile accident, was playing at his home nine days ago he jumped on a board in which a nail protruded. A deep cut was made in the foot. Prompt treatment was given and the injury was not taken seriously until Monday last, when the boy was seen to be in a serious condition. A physician ordered his removal to a Monroe hospital.

At the latter place, everything possible was done, but death resulted about twelve hours after his admission to the institution.

The automobile accident that the lad suffered was caused by his falling from an auto and being run over by the rear wheels. This occurred in Clarks, last winter, and the boy had but recently recovered from this mishap.

Many persons attended the funeral this afternoon, as both parents are popular in their community and have the sympathy of the public generally. The father is a bookkeeper in the office of the Louisiana Central Lumber company.

The lad's grandfather is Benj. Allbritton, postmaster of Clarks.
