TOCSIN AGED WOMAN DIES SUNDAY MORNING
FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. MARY STEELE WILL BE HELD ON TUESDAY.
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Steele, 87 years old, esteemed Tocsin woman, passed away Sunday morning at 2 o'clock after suffering a paralytic attack five weeks ago. She had been in critical condition following the attack and no hope had been given for recovery.
She was born in Ohio on February 14, 1837, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Schoch. On January 2, 1873, she was married to George Steele, who preceded Mrs. Steele in death. No children were born to their union, but they raised Sarah and Joe Archbold and for a time Ed Schoch lived with them. They came to Tocsin thirty years ago.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Tocsin U. B. church. Burial will be made at Tocsin.
