Mr.Brewer was born at Mercersburg, Pa., August 2, 1875, the son of David and Mary Diltz Brewer. When still a small boy, he and his folks came to Illinois and located near Bushnell where he received his education.
In the year 1900, he was united in marriage to Louetta Hagerman of the Lynn grove vicinity. He spent the early part of his married life in and around Walnut Grove where he made many friends. he followed the occupation of farming until the last few years. He united with the Walnut Grove M. E. Church in the year of 1915 and he kept the faith throughout the remainder of his life.
He leaves to mourn his passing; his wife and four children, namely; Edith Irene Stenger, Jesse David of Bushnell,Twyla Fern ,and Trella Louetta who lived at home. He also leaves one sister,Mrs Daisy Smithers of Galesburg, Albert of Arizona, Newton of Rock Island and George of Bushnell, He is survived by ten grandchildren, several nieces and nephews along with many friends. His mother, father and two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
