Robert Lee (Bobby) Dixon, 72, of Lenoir City passed away Friday, Feb. 25, 2011. Bobby was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Gladys Dixon; daughters, Wendy Howerton and husband, Donnie of Lenoir City, Robbie Moses and husband, Timmy of Loganville, Ga., Tonya Dixon and Anita Dixon both of Knoxville; sons, Robert Dixon of Cleveland and Nicky Dixon of Knoxville; stepchildren, Darrell Green, Pam Skidmore both of Lenoir City and Dennis Lewis of Memphis; 23 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Patsy Cansler of Michigan; several nieces and nephews.
The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Click Funeral Home. Funeral services followed at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Junior Ward and the Rev. Mark Ward officiating.
Family and friends gathered at the funeral home by 10:30 Monday morning and proceeded to the Lakeview Memory Gardens for graveside services at 11 a.m. Military honors were conferred by the Loudon Co. Veterans Honor Guard. Serving as pallbearers: Mickie Smallen, Donnie Howerton, Timmy Moses, Darrell Green, Bobby Moses and Brandon Howerton.
