William E. Russell was born March 1836 in Windsor, Vermont to Samuel and Lucinda M Walker Russell. 1850 we find the Russell family living in Nashua, Hillsborough, New Hampshire and in 1860 they were in Lowell, Middlesex, Massachusetts. He married Jane Robertson about 1869-70. William and Jane were living in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, New York next door to William, Helena and Geo. R. Comrie in June 1870. He was a painter most of his life. William and Jane had no children but George Robertson Comrie lived with Aunt Jane and Uncle William in 1900. Both Jane and William were taken to E Providence, Rhode Island for burial.
