Wendell Londeen was born April 29, 1926 in Navarre, Kansas to Elmer and Bertha Londeen. He passed away at Conroe Regional Hospital in Conroe, Texas on February 27, 2011.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years Gladys Nadine Londeen, two of his children; Patricia Ann Cariker and Gary Lee Londeen and one grandson Jacob Londeen. He is survived by his children Phyllis Jean Legg and Ronald Jay Londeen; grandchildren Lindsay Horstman and husband Kyle, Joshua Armstrong and Rachel, Shannon Legg and Aaron, Wendi Wolfe and husband David, Ryan Londeen, Rhonda Londeen and Kyle Londeen as well as 7 great grandchildren.

Wendell ran the Houston Chevron Marathon in the years of 2006, 2007 and 2008. He was 82 years of age when he last participated in the marathon. He enjoyed fishing, working in the yard and fixing anything that was broken.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, March 3, 2011 at the Huntsville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Reagan Cooksey officiating. Interment will be held at 10 A.M., Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Admire Cemetery in Admire, Kansas.
