Mr. W.S. Blair, a highly respected citizen of Leasburg passed away at his home last Friday morning, after a lingering illness. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon at the Leasburg Methodist Church, conducted by Reverend Mr. Russell and Rev. M.M. Hamlin. Interment was made at Cross Roads cemetery. He is survived by two brothers and one sister, two sons, George and Charlie, one daughter, Mrs. John Coleman, eighteen grandchildren, and a host of great friends to morn his departure.

He was united in marriage to Miss Mary E. Carwile Nov. 16th, 1869 and to them were born five children. One died in infancy, the others are Dora Coleman, George and Charlie Blair and Mrs. Eliza Smith, the latter proceeded her father to the better world a little over a years ago. His wife departed this life April 2nd, 1879.
His second marriage was to Miss Mary A. McDonald, October 18th, 1883. He was again left alone Nov. 3rd, 1895 by the death of his second wife.
His third marriage was to Mrs. Sarah C. Knight, November 7th, 1900. She was called from this world October 8th, 1918, which again left him alone for the third time.
