Son of John Gallagher & Mary McDermott, natives of Ireland, youngest of seven children. His father was a quarry man. Harry worked for 40 years as a shipper at Andorra Nurseries, Harmonville (Whitemarsh, Montgomery County, Pa) per his obituary. Harry was a veteran of the Spanish-American War in Battery F, 7th Artillery from July 1898, to February 1899.
