Martha Barber Finch was a daughter of Isaac and Esther (Harrison) Finch, born November 17, 1864, in Jay, New York. She was one of ten children. Known as "Aunt Mat," she was a practical nurse in the Jay area. She resided on the family homestead her entire life, having never married.
