Lois R. Eckels, 83, of Hernando, Florida passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Hospice of Citrus County in Lecanto, Florida. Lois was born in Axtel, Kentucky on January 8, 1929 to the late Willis and Pauline (Rose) Fentress. She arrived in the area in 1988 coming from Erie, Pennsylvania. Lois was a homemaker and a Catholic. She is preceded in death by her first husband Stanley Hale, as well as her second husband, John Eckels. Survivors include three sons, William, Michael, and Paul Hale; two daughters, Barbara Delgado and Lois Jean Bennett; seven grandchildren and three great-grandcholdren. A Service of Rememberance will be held in Axtel, Kentucky at a later date. Private cremation arrangements under the direction of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, Florida.
