Dawn Marie Johnson
Dawn M. Johnson, 54, of Seville went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011 at Hospice of Medina County after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Nov. 25, 1956 (in Medina) and was a lifelong resident of the area.
Dawn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was loved and will be missed by her family, friends and Christian family. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and known for her many talents in sewing, knitting and many other hobbies.
Dawn is survived by her husband of 36 years, Russell S. Johnson; sons and daughters-in-law: Jeremiah and Kathie Johnson; Joshua and Diane Johnson of West Salem; Jarod and Johnson of Rittman; and daughter Meghan at home; brothers and sisters-in-law, Doug and Karen Berger of Pennsylvania, and Darrell and Lorie Berger of Rittman; father Vernon and his wife Marlene Berger of Creston; mother and father-in-law Frank and Martha Johnson of Seville; grandchildren, Jeremiah Jr., Michaela, Kate, Evan, Cameron Johnson and MacGuire Swiat; and brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother Lola Berger.
Arrangements are being handled by Armstrong Funeral Home. Friends may call at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 7605 Pleasant Home Road., Smithville on Tuesday, Feb. 22 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Service will be 11 am Wednesday Feb. 23 at the church with Pastor Stephen Olsen officiating. Internment will be at the Mound Hill Cemetery, Seville.
