Rt. Rev. Msgr. Peter J. Adamski P.A. was born in Pobiedno 96 Sanak, Poland. His parents were Matthew and Caroline Dudas Adamski. He came to the United States in 1909. He studied for the priesthood at Christ the King Seminary, St. Bonaventure University in Allegany, New York and was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Buffalo on June 10, 1915.

Msgr. Adamski became pastor of St. John Gualbert church, Cheektowaga in January 1918 and served there until 1945, when he was appointed pastor of St. Stanislaus Church in Buffalo.

At the time of his death at the age of 91, he was pastor emeritus of St. Stanislaus.

Always interested in the education of youth, he is credited with initiating the Catholic Diocesan School System with his founding of the former Bishop Colton and Bishop Ryan High Schools.

His service extended to various boards and commissions in the diocese.
