Kearns Soldier Dies In Automobile Crash


A marine son of a Kearns mother was killed Monday in and automobile accident in San Diego, California, where he was stationed, according to word received by the mother.

He is Robert Leon Blair, 18, son of Mrs. Leonard J. DeLisis, 4776 So. 4680 West.

A native of Woods Cross, he was born Nov. 21, 1935. The family moved to Tooele about eight years ago where he attended school. He was a member of the LDS Church.

Corp. Blair entered the service Nov. 21, 1952. He has been stationed at San Diego since that time. He was a legal clerk.

Survivors include his mother, a stepfather, Leonard J. DeLisis; three brothers and two sisters, Virgil, Leonard, LaMar and Shirley, all of Kearns, and Mrs. Eugene (Joyce) Calcagno, Inglewood, Calif.

The body will be returned to Bountiful for funeral and burial.

Funerals

Blair-- Funeral services for Corporal Robert Leon Blair, will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Kearns Ward Chapel, with Bishop Max S. Jakman of the Kearns First Ward officiating. Friends may call at the Union Mortuary, Friday 7 to 9 p.m. and at the chapel in Kearns 1 hour prior to services. Internment will be in the Bountiful Cemetery, directed by Union Mortuary.
