Car-truck mishap fatal to man

CARROLLTON, Mo. (AP) - Loren D. Sturgeon, 26, Mooresville, Mo., was killed Tuesday night in a collision between his car and a tractor-trailer truck on U. S. 65 about 15 miles north of Carrollton.

The highway patrol said Sturgeon's car veered across the center line and struck the trailer of a truck driven by Toby Walker, 26, of Rogers, Ark. Walker was not injured.

FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR LOREN D. STURGEON

Funeral services were held at 10 o'clock Friday morning in the chapel of the Norman Funeral Home for Loren Dennis Sturgeon, who was fatally injured Tuesday night in a car accident.

The Rev. Homer Howe conducted the service and Mrs. Mary Lou VanDeventer sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Beyond the Sunset," accompanied by Mrs. Howe. Pallbearers were Tom Earl, Raymond Johnson, John Cobb, Owen Ayers, Clyde Cranmer and Jim Utley, Jr.

Interment was in the family lot in Edgewood cemetery, under direction of the Norman Funeral Home.
