Rev. Philip J. Badame was the pastor of Annunciation Church in Buffalo, New York when he died of a heart attack at the age of 56. He had been pastor there since 1977, and had previously been pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Buffalo and was also the Director of the Diocesan Youth Department for many years.

He started out at Canisius as a pre-med student, but he wanted to do more than cure people's physical ills so he decided to enter the priesthood. He attended Christ the King Seminary, St. Bonaventure University, and was ordained by Bishop Joseph Burke on May 5, 1954.
