Paul D. Green, 85, of Mesquite and formerly of Sweetwater, died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2001 in a Dallas hospital.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 3, 2001 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Fluitt officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home in Sweetwater. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories.
Mr. Green was born June 11, 1915 in Abilene. He married M. Juanita Bennett (Godwin) on Feb. 6, 1938 in San Antonio (San Angelo). He owned and operated P & J Wholesale and was a member of the Lamar Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include one son, Garland Green and wife, Jennifer, of Sweetwater; two daughters, Janice Stockburger of Rowlett and Pat Spann and husband, Gene, of Mesquite; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Berton Green of N. Richland Hills; and one sister, Ruth Bateman of Longview.
He was preceded in death by his wife, M. Juanita Green on Nov. 5, 1994; two sisters; and two bothers.
Pallbearers will be Bill Lightfoot, Ken Lofton, Dale McCreight, Bill Johnston, Hoyt Mulanax and Mondel Rogers. The honorary pallbearer will be Jim Henderson.
